Collins Commercial advises clients seeking new premises and advises those formulating business plans who require feasibility studies as part of their occupational and core strategy.
Our purpose is to save our clients time and cost in the identification, selection and negotiation process, liaising with all parties’ advisers to ensure all issues are addressed in a pro-active manner.
Although an important part of our role is to maximise the financial aspects of any lease or purchase, our experience and expertise goes far beyond the commercial aspects of any property acquisition. Our role forms a number of key functions and distinct stages.
Our role continues until such times as the acquisition of the premises has been completed, standing side by side throughout all stages with our client until the project is concluded.
Other services we offer include building surveys and project managing the relocation and fitting out of new premises.

Case Study
Datamonitor Ltd. (48,500 sq ft) 119 Farringdon Road, EC1
Prospective clients to the practice asked us to advise on the acquisition and relocation of some 500 staff from 3 buildings in The City and North West London. The brief was complicated by the need, due to a Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO), to ensure the new offices were acquired and fitted out for 250 staff within 4 months.
Availability between The City and Chiswick was reviewed and viewings undertaken before a fast track short listing exercise and negotiations were carried out, settling on premises requiring complete refurbishment.
Working with all parties and their solicitors, the leases were signed within 7 weeks of our first exploratory meeting with Datamonitor and the first tranche of staff moved into the building and started work ahead of the deadline.
In order to achieve this tight timetable it was critical that the practice put together a dedicated and experienced team to deal with the CPO, relocation and fit-out for the Client as well as ensuring the search, identification and acquisition of premises were concluded swiftly.
